Application
Qualifications
The residency program is open to both foreign and domestic artists who living in Taiwan. Interested applicants must have at least two years of experience in ceramic practice.
Residency period
The residency program can support an artist to stay up to three months.
Selection process
A selection committee composed of relevant experts, scholars, and museum representatives will review all applicants’ file and proposal. 3 artists will be selected from all the applications (If applicants do not meet qualification standards, vacancies shall remain). A selection outcome will be emailed to all applicants on Jul. 9th 2021. The final selection list will be posted on the museum’s official website (see http://www.ceramics.ntpc.gov.tw).
Selection Criteria
(1) Sculptural artworks which are themed with garden imagery, like tropical insects, flowers…etc.
(2) The creativity, practicality and impact of the project proposal.
(3) The degree of conformity with the theme.
(4) Reference artworks and related experience.
How to Apply
a. By email
(1) Download the application form
(2) Prepare the files below:
- Application form (Word file)
- 5-10 artworks photos (jpg), these are the work images in your application form
(image size: 1-3 MB each, at least 150 dpi).
(3) Send your files:
Please indicate “2021 AutumnTaiwan Ceramics Residency Program Application - (your name)” as your email title. Email your application to ycmresidency@gmail.com, Mr. Hsiao-Cheng Chu.
